Boxing honour for Joe Frater

Grimsby boxing promoter Joe Frater has been honoured for his 40 years in the fight game.

At the special anniversary show held at the Winter Gardens in Cleethorpes there was a surprise presentation. It came from the Midlands Boxing Council and it was a plaque to commemorate Frater's work for the sport over those four decades.

Said Frater: "This is as much for the people of Grimsby, who have supported me, as it is for Joe Frater."

Frater's next project is a show in Ibiza - more details to follow.
